The film sees Keaton play father to the titular post-grad as she navigates her life after finishing college and moving back in with her wacky family.

Apr 30, 2009 · In the comedy POST GRAD, Ryden Malby (Alexis Bledel, GILMORE GIRLS) graduates from college and is forced to move back into her childhood home with her eccent Equally, 'Post Grad''s comedic side leaves rather a lot to be desired. Gone is the nicely understated touch of Ryden's more personal moments, and instead the viewer is left with cats being run over, characters stepping in poo, and other such formulaic 'comedy'. Super unrealistic, I'm also a "post grad" and she cries infinitely fewer times than I do on a daily basis. POST GRAD holds together as a movie only because of Alexis Bledel’s performance as Ryden. She is charming and fun. The story is weak, however, resulting in Michael Keaton and Carol Burnett doing unfunny things and saying unfunny dialogue. The directing is average with very little to recommend. There is plenty of foul language in POST GRAD. Post Grad has its funny moments, but it also has cheesy ones. When I read this book, I was, fortunately, in the mood for both. I recommend Post Grad to those who are looking for a quick, mood-lifting read. The book is not thought-provoking nor moving, but it will be entertaining to some, especially those who are soon-to-be college graduates.
